A SOFTWARE firm is looking for more staff as its revenues head for £4m this year.
Sunderland-based Communicator Corp expects to recruit another 14 to its 55-strong workforce next year after winning fresh business nationwide.
The nine-year-old business, which was taken over a year ago by media giant Trinity Mirror, which also owns The Journal, is hoping to see its sales reach £4.5m next year and to grow its profit of £1m.
Jonathan Prest, chief technology officer, said the company is proving it can hold its own against major competitors from across the Atlantic.
“We believe that this upward trend is one that will continue into 2013, and this is bolstered by the availability of talented people here in the North East.
“To date, we have recruited a large number of graduates from the five leading universities in the region, and we expect that this will continue as we seek to strengthen our foothold in the market.”
Prest added: “We constantly strive to take our technology to the next level, something that is absolutely critical in the fast-paced industry in which we operate.
“Having the right geographic base, technology and people on board is critical to that process, and that is something we have at Communicator Corp.”
