RATHBONE Investment Management has opened a Newcastle office to act as a regional hub for clients across the region.
Initially the firm will employ eight staff in its new branch, led by Nick Swales.
The team of investment managers at the arm includes James Kyle, James Garbutt, Neil Minto and Christoph Atkins.
Andrew Morris, Rathbones’ regional director for the North of England said: “We consider the North East to be an incredibly important area of growth for our business, but in order to be successful, we need to offer clients a dedicated on-the-ground presence. This new office demonstrates our commitment to delivering investment expertise supported by the highest levels of personalised client service.
“Our Newcastle office is the latest manifestation of the success of our business. We now have 12 offices across the UK, with a Lymington office opening in the next month, as we continue to grow both organically and through acquisition.
“We truly believe that our reputation is built upon the calibre of our people, and we are pleased to welcome such an experienced team to grow the business.”
Nick Swales, Newcastle office manager, said: “Rathbones is a name synonymous with high-quality, personalised client service. One of the many things I have been impressed by at Rathbones is the well researched, performance-driven investment process that will support but not control the decision making of the experienced investment managers in the Newcastle team.”
