FIRMS from the region's creative and digital sectors can find out about new business opportunities at a series of new events designed to strengthen the sector in the region.
Organised by technology transfer company, RTC North, and supported by NorthernNet, they will give delegates the chance to hear first-hand about innovative technologies under development by leading North-east companies.
NorthernNet has been developed to boost collaboration between digital and creative agencies across the North, through superfast broadband access as well as an intensive events programme.
Healthcare and biomedical related markets will be under the spotlight at Middlesbrough’s DigitalCity building on Thursday.
Around 25 companies will kick off the events by performing quick 90 second pitches about the kind of companies they would like to work with.
Companies invited to pitch will have the opportunity to join an hour long pitch training session prior to the main networking event at 4pm.
A second event will take place at the Business & Innovation Centre (BIC) in Sunderland on May 20 when digital and creative firms will be invited to meet companies involved in the energy and renewable industries.
For more information or to register for the NorthernNet business pitch events visit www.rtcnorth.co.uk, email becky.strong@rtcnorth.co.uk or call 01915164400.

The event will also be an opportunity for owners and developers to network with other businesses.
Thursday’s event starts at noon at BHP Law, Kingfisher House, Preston Farm, Stockton.
