Penny's bringing in new members for Institution of Civil Engineers

THE Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) North East has appointed experienced civil engineer Penny Marshall to help boost and support membership in the region.

Penny, who has 30 years’ civil engineering experience in the highways and transportation sector has taken on the role as ICE North East’s membership development officer.

She said: “I have been involved in civil engineering for many years and know the benefits of ICE membership. I recognise the challenges faced by those involved with the Institution during their careers, and I see this new role as an opportunity to put all my experience to the use of the sector here in the North-east.”

Stephen Larkin, director of ICE North East, said: “Membership Development is a key role in our continuing efforts to support civil engineering in the North-east.”
