A STUDENT is £500 richer after winning an award in a competition run by a leading supermarket.
Hosted at Durham University’s Queen’s Campus in Stockton, the ceremony saw Matthew Hulme from Durham University’s Business School, receive the award from Aldi for the best performing first year student reading a BSc business management degree.
The sponsorship is awarded to finance anything from course material through to funding any additional learning opportunities which may further Matthew’s educational and career development.
Matthew said: “I am absolutely delighted to win this award. The Aldi sponsorship programme is a great opportunity for undergraduates to excel and demonstrate their ability to operate in a professional business environment.”
Steve Barnett, Aldi managing director, said: “We view the competition as a vital opportunity to engage with managers of the future and to communicate the value that a graduate recruitment scheme offers students for their career development.”
