1995 Director, Ryder Architecture. Since then the practice has grown from a staff of 14 in Newcastle to more than 130 with other offices in Glasgow, Liverpool and London.

2003 In recognition of his influential and inspirational role within the industry, he was made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects.
