The hall is now kitted out with a cushioned simulated turf floor as well as the full range of agility equipment after the couple turned to Business Link, which helped them to apply for funding from the North East England Investment Centre (NEEIC).
Twelve Dog House customers won awards at this year’s Crufts and the centre has shows scheduled for the rest of the year.
Mrs Glendenning said: “We’ve got a cross section of people – we’ve got clubs renting the hall, individuals and our own training. We start from puppies upwards.”
Stephanie Campbell, the couple’s Business Link account manager, said: “This really has been a labour of love for Keith and Lynn, and it has been a pleasure to play a part in making their business idea a reality.
“I look forward to working with them as they grow The Dog House into an even more successful business, and I have no doubt that it will continue to go from strength to strength.”
