STEPHEN DUFFY qualified as a solicitor in 1994. He is on the Law Society's Children Panel and is an accredited Children representative. He is experienced in dealing with all family matters including acting with local authorities in relation to care proceedings.

Ossy, who lives in Ryton, Tyne and Wear, has worked for more than 25 years in the commercial vehicle trade in the North East, latterly for a Volvo dealership selling Nissan light commercials. He is well known to commercial vehicle operators across the region. Outside of work, Ossy lists his interests as family, rugby union and classic vehicles.
Audiences North East (ANE) has appointed KERRY ELLIS BYRNE in the newly developed role of research and audience development manager.
ANE works across the whole cultural sector to grow, sustain and develop the region's audiences for arts and culture. Kerry, 28, has worked on a variety of large-scale arts festivals, and gained experience at Arts About Manchester and The Sage Gateshead before joining ANE where she is responsible for advising on and undertaking audience research and development projects.
Blythman and Partners Veterinary Practice in Heddon-on-the-Wall has appointed LAURA GILLESPIE as new head veterinary nurse.
Laura, 27 originally from the North East of Scotland, has been a veterinary nurse at the practice since June 2008.
Laura will oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, and, as well as carrying out her veterinary nursing duties, she will also keep up to date with new developments in veterinary medicine to ensure the surgery offers the best care and treatment.
Laura has an honours degree in Equine Science, which she was awarded from the University of Aberdeen in 2004 before going on to train as a veterinary nurse.
