Refinement clears the road ahead for Reevu

AFTER spending a further £250,000 refining the prototype of their motorbike helmet rear view mirror, North East company Reevu says it now has clear visions of a successful future.

Launched in 2005, the Washington company’s product hit a few snags with 30% of the customers from the original batch of 5,000 complaining the mirror responded too readily to the movements of the helmet and that then affected visibility.

Now the company’s founders, Billy Morgan and Graham and Mark Steele, have refined their product to overcome the previous flaws.

Product development director Mark said: “We must be on to about Mark 6 of the helmet but this latest development has overcome the previous problems.”

Reevu is launching the new product at a series of trade shows over the coming months and anticipates hitting annual sales of up to 300,000 in the next three years.

The company has a manufacturing factory in Europe and an assembly plant in Asia.

Mr Steel added: “Our latest helmet has been developed in response to market demand.”
