New body to offer support package for North business

One North East aligned the two services last year to ensure the best possible experience for manufacturers in the region, simplifying, streamlining and improving manufacturing and productivity support across the region.

To support the Regional Economic Strategy, One North East extended the Service until 2013 with an investment of more than £30m, now managed and delivered by PA Consulting, in conjunction with a range of expert partners.

Since 2002, MAS North East and the two former organisations that make up the sum of its parts have collectively generated over £50m of added value for manufacturing in the North East.

NEPIC has been working closely with the new organisation to give it a process sector focus and the new service will be outlining how this at the launch event.

Mark Lewis, technical director at NEPIC said: "NEPIC members will increasingly be taking full advantage of the world-class proven know-how of MAS North East to improve their businesses in the current difficult climate.
