Leading players in international games market roll in

SOME of the most influential figures from the international video games sector will roll into the region next week to discuss the future of the industry.

Gaming executives from across the globe will head to Gateshead’s Baltic Flour Mill for the GameHorizon Conference – a major new future-facing event which aims to keep video games firms ahead of the curve.

Among the impressive list of publishers and developers at the event will be Chris Satchell, general manager and chief XNA architect at Microsoft, and Seamus Blackley, head of the games department at one of Hollywood’s most powerful agencies, CAA.

Also in attendance will be Julien Merceron, chief technology officer at games giant Eidos and Rod Cousens, CEO of Codemasters – one of the longest-running British video games developers.

The conference is being organised by Codeworks GameHorizon, the leading business network for UK games companies.
