Eutechnyx strengthens the team

GAMES developer Eutechnyx has made a host of appointments in recent weeks after snapping up movie producer Todd Eckert to run its US operation.
The company has employed, as a lead game developer, Adrian Garrett who recently returned to the UK after 10 months pre-marital honeymoon travelling across South East Asia and Australia.
He has 11 years’ experience in the commercial games sector having worked for developers Rock Star, in Vienna, and Rage.
Eutechnyx has also taken on a number of students on a 12-month employment programme including Emma Morton, Matthew Neale, Phillip Cushley from Northumbria University and Steven Dalton from the Teesside University.
Meanwhile, IT consultancy Waterstons has appointed Kim Southeran as HR manager.
Kim has 14 years of experience in the HR and training field and has worked for the Police, the Royal Mail alongside various call centre operations.
Darlington online local search company, Infoserve, has appointed Mark Riley as its new sales director.
Mr Riley joins after spending 27 years in the newspaper industry and has a wealth of experience of leading businesses in the media sector.
Following a background in sales, he was managing director of Ackrill Media Group before his appointment as head of JP Letterbox Direct, the distribution arm of Johnston Press. He has an impressive track record in cost reduction and maximising new revenue opportunities and will now help Infoserve build on its position as one of the UK’s leading online search specialists.
He said: “I was immediately impressed with company’s genuine ambition to develop its range of quality products, as well as the enthusiasm of the senior management team.
“Infoserve is going from strength to strength and I intend to bring some of my tried and tested methods to help develop our staff and meet the demands of our increasing customer base.
Finally, Middlesbrough-based game developer Atomic Planet Entertainment has taken on Mark Adamson as an artist, Anthony Littlewood and Daren Cuthbert as programmers and Sarah Green as a PA.
The company is growing its team ahead of a number of high profile releases for late 2008.
