THE search is on for the shining lights in the region’s digital sector.

Entries are now open for this year’s North East Digital Awards, which celebrate the achievements and highlight the talent of firms in the region using digital technology.

The awards are divided into three groups – digital users, digital suppliers and digital innovators – and each group has a range of categories including Best eCommerce Website, Best News and Entertainment Website and Best Social Media Optimisation campaign.

Entry to the awards, which are supported by regional development agency One North East and The North East Regional Portal, close on February 27 next year and the winners will be revealed in March.

Pascal Fintoni, head of eBusiness at the Regional Portal, said: “Last year’s Digital Awards was an unprecedented success.”
