Different invests in digital division

CREATIVE agency Different has invested £100,000 in IT equipment and taken on new staff as it looks to ramp up its digital division on the back of a series of major contract wins.

The Newcastle firm’s digital team has added the NHS, AOL, County Durham-based Penn State Pretzels and Glasgow Caledonian University to its list of new clients.

It has also recently completed several high-profile website projects including regional development agency One North East’s www.northeastengland.co.uk and the website for the Regional Image Ambassadors Support Campaign, www.northeastambassadors.co.uk.

It was also responsible for the new regional tourism website, www.visit.northeastengland.com.

The company, which has a second office in Soho in London, now plans to grow its digital division and recently has appointed Nick Salloway as head of digital and Graeme Wilkinson as technical manager.

The firm has invested £100,000 in new cutting-edge website development technology while the agency’s 8,500 sq ft office has been wired with better cabling to deliver faster data services.

Creative director Mark Martin said: “Online and digital marketing are a huge growth sector for us as companies begin to realise the number of benefits associated with using the internet to promote a business.

“The recent growth can be attributed to Different’s growing reputation as one of the UK’s leading creative agencies working with some well-known brands.

“We plan to grow the digital team rapidly in the next three years as demand for our professional services using state-of-the-art equipment continues to grow.”
