Twitterer heads to the States to do his bit for the region

Northumbrian Justin Souter, who runs social media group Souter Consultancy, is calling on any tech firms or entrepreneurs in the region who would have benefited from the trip to Texas to Twitter him for help.
If there is a particular industry representative you would have liked to make a pitch to, an investor you think needs to hear about your big idea or an exhibited product you need to know more about, Mr Souter is at your service.
Perhaps you want him to conduct a covert spying mission to find out what your rivals across the pond are up to or you have an important message for one of your US customers – any request, within reason, will be taken seriously by the consultant.
Mr Souter, who will be travelling to the States today and will be available on Twitter as soon as lands in the US, said: “Clearly we need to work together in the North East to help one another win business and make a success of what we do because we need to compete.
“I’m going to the event and want to share the opportunity with other people who are running businesses in the sector. There will be people there who people in the North East may have been following on Twitter and can’t get hold of.
“I can meet face to face with these people, give them my business card, explain what companies from the region want me to talk to them about and pitch them the business idea.”
Mr Souter decided to help businesses in the region after he was asked by North East digital industry body Codeworks to attend the conference as an ambassador for its annual Thinking Digital event in Gateshead.
