Web developer to increase its workforce

WEB development and e-commerce firm Visualsoft is to grow its workforce by a third to satisfy a boom in demand fuelled by the economic downturn.
The Stockton-based company is recruiting for programmers, creative designers as well as marketing and sales staff to deal with an increase in demand from embattled retailers looking to boost their online revenues.
The firm will add around 10 new members of staff to its current team of 21, having just moved into a new 3,000 sq ft headquarters in Stockton, which has the capacity to house 60 workers.
In the last two years Visualsoft has developed more than 120 e-commerce websites and it expects to add £1m to its current annual turnover of £1.5m by the end of next year.
It has clients as far afield as South Africa and Australia and recently helped Newcastle’s high-end fashion brand Jules B achieve soaring global internet sales – a feat which led to a recruitment drive at the clothing firm and a move into a 10,000 sq ft warehouse.
Director Dean Benson said the company’s growth has been significantly boosted by tough conditions on the UK high street which have made retailers more reliant on the internet.
He said: “E-commerce is definitely a very strong industry to be part of as the credit crunch bites deeper because more and more companies are turning to the internet as a crucial sales outlet for reaching a wider audience.
“Anyone who thinks they have the drive and talent to join our team should contact us immediately. No need for the recruitment agency route, just come directly to us.”
Visualsoft was recognised as Digital Innovator of the Year at last night’s North East Digital Awards in Newcastle.
