IT provider Perfect Image has launched a website to help businesses in the region get the most out of their IT applications, potentially saving staff hours every day.

The Newcastle firm has developed the site – www.makethemostof.com  – to save professionals and businesses from frustrations and budget constraints by providing solutions for various business departments cost effectively.

The site is designed to inform the region about the range of tasks that can be achieved using some of the applications many organisations have invested in. It is envisaged the site will generate a community of users who can discover and share tips on how to perform tasks with various applications in Microsoft.

Perfect Image chief executive Andrew Robson said: “In a business every minute of every day counts.

“Many professionals in organisations use so many different applications without really utilising the muscle behind these programs. Most people just muddle through their use of IT and they don't use it in the best way.” The site was created in response to client views that it would be useful to have somewhere to turn for guidance on tasks from the simplest to some of the most challenging in Microsoft applications, such as creating expenses claims using Microsoft Office SharePoint.

The site has evolved in the past few months to feature additional Microsoft products and allows visitors to rate and review articles.

Users will receive updates and news. They are encouraged to comment on solutions and even upload their own ideas. In conjunction with the website, the firm is planning a series of breakfast briefings and lunch workshops.
