Tech firm's show of success

A NORTH technology firm is expecting to increase its list of military clients after exhibiting at a Nato conference in Africa.

Analox Sensor Technology, of Stokesley, was one of only 10 international companies invited to exhibit at Nato Submarine Escape and Rescue Working Group (SMERWG) 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The aim of the event, attended by delegates from 24 countries, was to facilitate global co-operation in submarine rescue and to share expertise.

Analox was able to share its experience in developing specialist gas analysis equipment for the military – which it also applies to the commercial diving, hospitality and general safety industries.

It also used the conference to show off its SUB MkIIPTM analyser, which has earned the company contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence and the US Navy.

Vicky Brown, sales and marketing director at Analox, said: “We were privileged to be invited to attend the conference. It was the ideal opportunity to convey the potential and capabilities of our products. It has also given us the opportunity to discuss how we can develop our range further to address additional needs in Submarine escape and rescue.”
