TELECOMS firm Executel has fought off stiff competition to land a £40,000 contract with a housing association.
The Gateshead company has won the contract to provide various communications infrastructure and services to Dale & Valley Homes following its relocation to new offices in Bishop Auckland.
The organisation, which has moved from Crook Civic Centre to new offices on South Church Enterprise Park, chose Executel’s services over a number of rival voice and data providers across the region.
Peter Chaffer, chief executive of Dale & Valley Homes, said: “We are delighted to have installed a telephone system which can help us deliver the best possible service to our customers who have told us that they prefer to be contacted by telephone. The Mitel system will help us to do that as efficiently as possible.
“Together with Executel we have installed a system which enables customers to contact us through our main switchboard or the contact centre which is dedicated to the reporting of repairs.
Executel, which was launched in 1997, currently employs 46 people at its MetroCentre headquarters, turning over £9m-a-year in revenues.
