Digital agency is on a mission

Stuart Howard founder of Orangepanda

A NORTH East digital agency is on the hunt for new opportunities in America after being chosen as one of just 15 UK firms to attend a trade mission to the US.

Gateshead’s Orangepanda has been selected to embark on a ‘digital mission’ – a five-day event which will take in meetings with large corporations such as Sony and Lions Gate in the States.

The digital missions, organised by agency Chinwag and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), are a series of trade events which support UK digital companies looking to expand their business or gain investment overseas.

Applications are open to UK-based small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the digital sector through a competitive selection process.

Successful companies are judged by an advisory board made up of experts from the digital industry and UKTI sector specialists.

Orangepanda founder Stuart Howard said: “Being chosen to attend the US Digital Mission is a real honour and will involve working alongside high calibre, respected organisations within our digital sector, as well as giving us the chance to meet key players in the US market.

“I’m thrilled to be attending, as not only is it a great learning experience, but it is also a fantastic opportunity to raise Orangepanda’s profile both nationally and internationally.”

Meanwhile, three-year-old Orangepanda recently created and launched a new website for The Luxury Network.

This is a global community of top-end, premium names which aims to boost business development and networking opportunities amongst its members.

The Luxury Network’s members include high profile brands such as Veuve Clicquot, Bentley, Selfridges & Co, Hotel Chocolat, Villeroy & Bosch and Aston Martin.

Members belong to niche, high-end sectors within boating, finance, motoring, jewellery, fashion and property.

Orangepanda was appointed by The Luxury Network to enhance the brand’s online presence.

The company has also produced work for advertising agencies dealing with projects for the likes of Nokia, Adidas and Toyota.
