Business idea comes naturally to new mum

A FORMER marketing woman is combining her entrepreneurial skills with the healing power of nature in a new business.

Enerjii was set up by new mum Jacqueline Brewster from Felton in Northumberland, to sell jewellery using magnetic fields, far infrared and negative ions, which are reputed to have health benefits.

Ms Brewster, who also worked on a freelance basis offering clerical and business support to her marketing clients, became interested in the healing properties of nature after taking an Open University qualification in natural sciences.

She was also looking for a new way of working after the recent birth of her daughter Isobel.

“Thanks to my interest in the environment, a relevant qualification and the need to find a career that fitted in with being a new mum, I decided to build my business around the Enerjii products,” she said.

She is now working with beauty salons, health food stores, gyms and golf clubs to distribute the range of necklaces and bracelets.

Yvonne Campbell, from Beauty World in Alnwick, has signed up to stock the jewellery.

She said: “It’s nice to see something that is so natural and doesn’t cost the Earth being able to help people at the same time as making them look good too.”
