Brothers launch home makeover company

TWO brothers with more than half a century of home improvement experience between them have teamed up to form a new company offering people the chance to win home makeovers.

Peter Conley, 45, of Gilling West, near Richmond, North Yorkshire, is a qualified electrician and runs a successful painting and decorating business.

Paul, 52, of Wingate, East Durham, is a kitchen and bathroom fitter and plumber and runs Aviary Kitchens.

As well as running their own businesses the brothers have set up Aviary Promotions Ltd to offer customers the chance to win a series of home makeovers.

The new company has been set up just as the pair have finished work at the Frenchgate Hotel, in Richmond, where they have been refurbishing its opulent bedrooms.

“We work together really well and between us we have all the skills needed to give a complete home makeover. We called ourselves Aviary Promotions in reference to the Two Little Dickie Birds – Peter and Paul,” said Peter.

Aviary Promotions will run a series of phone-in competitions offering the winners home makeovers worth £6,000.

Peter said: “The prize value is based on a three-bed semi and it is up to the winner how they want to spend that £6,000. They could focus the money on one bathroom or we can paint the entire house.”
