WE are holding the first of our Great North Revolution debates today at 11am.

Leading our panel is one of Britain's most senior business leaders, CBI director general Richard Lambert, and he is joined by Chris Pywell, head of strategic economic change at One North East, Alchemists chief executive Lucy Armstrong, and Bob Coxon, chairman of the Science and Industry Council in the North East.

The Journal's head of business, Andrew Hebden, is chairing the debate.
