What, in your opinion, is influence?

I believe influence is the ability to create change in others through their own free will.

Is influence the same as power?

No, influence is the ability to persuade others to join your cause. Power is the ability to make others follow your cause.

Who or what have you been most influenced by?

I have been lucky to have a number of role models. Together they have shown me that you can both succeed yourself and enjoy seeing others succeed. They have led by example, been true to their values and absolutely passionate about life.

Who or what has most benefited from your influence?

As a corporate lawyer it is vital that you can find commercially-focused solutions within the legal framework. My aim is to influence those around me to be confident and creative in the use of their skills with the commitment to make the North East a great place to live and work.
