SULZER Chemtech Tower Field Service group has almost four decades of experience based in the Tees Valley.
Established in the region in the 1970s, 2008 will mark the team’s move from Middlesbrough to new state-of-the-art offices with fabrication facilities at Mandale House off Portrack Lane in Stockton.
The tower internals speciality company performs tray and packing installation, tower maintenance and plant turnaround projects to the oil refining and petrochemicals sectors.
Based in the heart of the Tees Valley - with its strong pedigree in the process sector - the from its Tees Valley location works on contracts across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.
As well as a head office team which is set to grow in 2008 - the company employs hundreds of contractor staff for its many and varied projects.
Sulzer Chemtech is a member of the Sulzer Corporation which has its headquarters in Winterthur, Switzerland.
It is active in the field of process engineering and employs over 2,500 people worldwide providing design, manufacture and services for separation columns.
Sulzer Chemtech can furnish a wide range of vessel-related services such as a complete retrofit of a vessel from the external pipe flange to vessel internals.
The company has a large welding portfolio certified to both ASME and EN (BS) standards, enabling it to provide a wide range of welding services including nozzle installations, strip lining installation and repair, tray support modifications and tower resections.
Sulzer Chemtech works on projects both large and small - from minor tray installations to large revamps, maintenance, bottlenecking and major projects.
