Our North-East operation has its regional office in Hartlepool which has operated successfully for more than 30 years, providing mechanical, electrical and public health services to the construction industry. We have recently opened a new office in Gateshead to facilitate an objective of adding to our existing key relationships with main contractors and consultants within the Tyneside, Wearside and Northumberland areas.

Hartlepool also operates as a centre of excellence providing plumbing, heating and electrical services within the residential sector for all the major private developers, housing associations and local authorities.

Recent Projects

• The Theatre Royal Newcastle is one of the most famous theatres in the country and during its 170-year history has played host to the biggest names in dance, drama, music and comedy. Opened in February 1837, the Grade 1 Listed Building continues to dominate the heart of Newcastle’s Grainger Town. Lorne Stewart has contributed to the refurbishment of the Theatre Royal, modifying or replacing the existing mechanical and electrical services. The existing café area and the old Barclays Bank have been converted into a new box office, caffè Teatro and learning space. The stage area has been extended to incorporate a new Fly Tower and flying system.

• Lorne Stewart was also responsible for the installation of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for St John’s Primary School, Shildon.
