The newest member of the Elliott Group, cost and project management consultancy Elliott Dent, is celebrating its first birthday after a whirlwind year. Turnover and the staff team have nearly doubled over the year in response to a number of project wins in the North.
Most recently the practice has been appointed by the University of Sunderland as project manager to support the £27m redevelopment of the city campus at Chester Road, which under phase 1 includes a sports and social centre.
Some of the practice's earliest projects have been completed, with two phases of the Medical Village in North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, now in use and work has started on The Place, a business and arts centre at the heart of the Sunniside regeneration in Sunderland.
Work has begun on site for the development of a medical centre in Hendon, Sunderland. The internal and external refurbishment of the Monkwearmouth Museum in Sunderland is also nearly completed, with Elliott Dent providing cost consultancy services for the renovation of this Grade II-listed property.
The business continues to provide support to Erimus Housing and is currently involved with major regeneration projects, providing not only cost and project management support but also development consultancy advice.
Some of the greatest successes have come from Elliott Dent's work alongside other members of the Elliott Group - Elliott Associates, Elliott Projects and Elliott Holmes Johnson. Together, the group has been appointed sole consultant to provide cost consultancy and project management services to the Home Group in the North-East and won a framework agreement with Home Group in Yorkshire and the Midlands.
Director David Dent said: "We planned for growth from inception, nevertheless our first year has exceeded expectations.
"As individual organisations, each member of the group has its own unique expertise, but together we can provide an unrivalled combination of skills, particularly in the housing sector. We embrace every aspect of regeneration, from masterplanning and the establishment of development briefs through to pragmatic cost consultancy and project delivery and ongoing asset management and building surveying."
