Wilton Centre firm favourite for a host of good reasons

The Wilton Centre on Teesside is a spacious complex offering a range of office and technical facilities. Located next to the Wilton International site, the centre is set in a 75-acre landscaped park with its own lake and courtyards.

It is home to more than 30 companies, including a number of prestigious multinationals that appreciate the high quality accommodation and first class business support infrastructure found at the site.

The research and development population at the Wilton Centre constitutes one of the most significant science and engineering communities in UK industry.

There is more than 520,000sqft of office, laboratory and pilot plant space providing fully serviced accommodation.

There are many key factors attracting companies to the Wilton Centre.

One of Wilton Centre's new initiatives is to cut its energy and consumption costs..

Business resource efficiency expert Midas has undertaken a free audit of energy, water and waste resource use in one of the centre's 15 blocks, with a view to rolling out the resulting recommendations across all its facilities.

Engineering manager Richard Short said: "Energy issues have been high on our agenda for some time. Coupled with other measures, we believe that we could save around £120,000 annually in energy costs in this block alone."

The Wilton Centre currently has accommodation available for immediate occupancy including:

* The Wilton Centre Annexe - a stand-alone building, with 32,000sqft of space. It consists of 10,000sqft of two-storey office accommodation, presently a mixture of open-plan and modular office units and 12,000sqft of single storey area suitable for development as office, commercial or light industrial use.
