PwC wins the treble at North-East Awards

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Newcastle won the treble at the inaugural North-East Accountancy Awards in 2007.

Held at The Marriott Gosforth Park, the professional services firm was awarded Corporate Finance Deal of the Year for its work with CA Group, Young Accountant of the Year was received by corporate finance manager Amit Bhalla, and the firm was also awarded the accolade for Firm/Branch of the Year.

PwC director of corporate finance at Newcastle Paul Mankin said: “We are delighted to have received the Corporate Finance Deal of the Year award for our work with CA Group. It is pleasing to have helped design and implement this unusual transaction and to know that control of such a successful business will remain in the region.

“I am also thrilled that Amit Bhalla was named the Young Accountant of the Year. Having invested further in our North-East corporate finance team over the past 12 months, we look forward to continuing to advise local clients as the strong appetite for M&A continues.”
