About the Northern Society

The Northern Society of Chartered Accountants (NSCA) represents more than 3,000 members in the North-East and Cumbria.

Through its three branches - Tyne & Wear, Teesside and Cumberland - the region's chartered accountants can take part in a wide range of professional training courses and social events.

These include two annual residential weekend conferences at Redworth Hall, near Darlington, in February and at Lake Windermere in April.

The Northern Society also acts as the regional forum through which members can engage with the activities of their national professional body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).

Supported by the ICAEW's regional office, the NSCA covers a broad sphere of activities, including learning and professional development, student affairs, enterprise and police liaison.
