Magic in city with Sleeping Beauty panto

THE Gala Durham will be playing host to its most magical pantomime yet as it prepares to welcome this year’s production, Sleeping Beauty.

Fittingly hosted in the North-East’s most magical city, this year’s performance will see Maureen Nolan step into the shoes of Fairy Crystal as she sprinkles a special bit of sparkle over the enchanting production. The Gala will also be welcoming back the hilarious Pee Wee Price in the role of Court Jester, alongside a star cast that will amuse and enchant audiences both young and old.

The magic of fairy tales is brought to life in Sleeping Beauty which features beautiful costumes and a stunning set. There are also amazing special effects and a 15ft dragon to keep the audience on their toes.

For family-fun and a sprinkle of fairytale magic this Christmas, Sleeping Beauty is the perfect family treat. Tickets start from as little as £8 and family tickets are only £40 for 4 tickets (minimum one child).

With a beautiful, modern £15m building; easy access from the A1(M) and A690; and nearby car parking available at only £1 after 6pm, there’s no reason not to visit. The Gala is also designed to provide easy access for disabled customers and it operates the Sennheiser infra-red amplification system for those with impaired hearing.

Audiences can experience the magic for themselves when Sleeping Beauty casts its spell over the Gala between Wednesday December 5 and Sunday January 6, with evening and matinee performances available.
