Welcome for new tenant

NOVUS Business Centre, recently shortlisted for a prestigious RICS Renaissance Award, has welcomed another tenant.

Sandra Wardle, Centre Co-ordinator and David Young, The Mortgage Doctor N.E

The Mortgage Doctor, which started trading over 20 years ago, has extensive experience of organising residential mortgages for first time buyers, re-mortgages and buy to let as well as providing information on associated insurances.

Formerly based in Newcastle, the company relocated to Peterlee after attending the Novus Business Centre Open Day in May.

The Mortgage Doctor plans to expand and recruiting staff is on the agenda in admin and sales.

David Young, of The Mortgage Doctor, says: “I hope to recruit these positions in the next 12 months in order to achieve the objectives I have for the business.

“This move is the beginning of a new era for the company.”

Novus Business Centre, owned by District of Easington Council, provides a much needed resource of small offices ideally suited for start up and small businesses located in the District of Easington.

The offices range from 85 to 961 sq ft in size and are offered on an “easy in-easy out” basis. Management of the building is provided by East Durham Business Service (EDBS).

Mr Young said: “The environment and facilities at the centre will help my business grow and the location is ideal for my client base.”

As with each business that joins Novus Business Centre, The Mortgage Doctor has had a consultation with an EDBS business adviser to assist in the development of the company. David is currently working with the marketing adviser to raise awareness of his new location and promote his business to people in East Durham.

Sarah Slaven, manager of EDBS, said: “Everyone at EDBS would like to welcome The Mortgage Doctor to Novus Business Centre and wish him the best of luck for the future. The diverse range of tenants we have now is bringing a real mix to the centre.”

Mr Young said: “I live in East Durham so Novus Business Centre is a great commute for me. The brand-new contemporary offices give a really good impression when I am meeting clients.”

As well as office accommodation, Novus Business Centre has conference and meeting facilities available for hire that are equipped with the latest multi-media facilities. These can be hired from half a day and catering can also be organised.

The centre has 22 vacant offices remaining ranging from 85 to 961 sq ft.

If you are looking for an office and would like to pre-book a centre tour or meeting with a business adviser about your business needs please contact Sandra Wardle, centre co-ordinator, on (0191) 586-3366.
