FOR years now, the media industry has been talking about convergence – the ability to use any device, be it your television, computer, PDA or mobile phone, to access any type of media. It’s a vision that has been a long time in the making. Despite the array of interactive services behind the “red button” on my TV remote control, when I watch television I spend most of my time passively viewing my chosen channel and as for my mobile phone, I tend to use it for, well, phoning people.
