A good quality professional qualification such as an MBA does not automatically mean that you will secure your "ideal" job.
In order to help its students take advantage of their MBA, Durham Business School offers a comprehensive support pack- age. This includes practical information on the job market as well as advice on career moves.
In addition to posting vacancies on the intranet, Durham Business School buys into a variety of recruitment services targeted at MBAs. Full-time students can also be included in an annual profile brochure.
Networking will always be highly effective. According to the Association of MBAs' most recent salary survey, networking is the best way to find a new job in a tough marketplace. Many of the opportunities that arise from networking come via alumni members or employers who have previously recruited MBA students from Durham.
Above all, students are encouraged to be proactive. The best person to market yourself is you.
