SRC Business Solutions is the unit of Stockton Riverside College specialising in providing education and training to industry, business, commerce the service sector and individual clients.

It is an innovative, successful organisation with the resources and ability to meet the needs of business and industry and it provides high quality consultancy and advice with specialist expertise in a wide range of areas.

The courses on offer include Site Safety Passport; NEBOSH; IOSH; First Aid at Work Refresher; and Manual Handling.

SRC Business Solutions also works closely with employers across a number of sectors to ensure it meets staff development needs. Gail Defty, care home manager, completed her NVQ Level 4 in Care and the Registered Managers Award at the college.

Gail said: "The college offers flexibility for me and my employees. Staff are assessed in the workplace and the training has always been adapted so that my employees are taught knowledge that is directly relevant to them."

SRC Business Solutions also has access to a wide range of funding to support the delivery of employer focused, demand-led qualifications, for example through Train to Gain - offering free first level 2 qualifications to more than 400 employed adults across the North-east in 2006-07.
