A DYNAMIC new partnership that will boost housing and regeneration in the North has been launched.
Fabrick Housing Group has started business as the parent company that will oversee the business of Middlesbrough-based landlords Erimus Housing and Tees Valley Housing in their new group structure.
Fabrick is about more than housing, helping shape the fabric of everyday life across the region, creating neighbourhoods in areas where people choose to live.
The company is run by a board of nine members - three from Tees Valley, three from Erimus Housing and three independent members. An Erimus Housing resident has also been co-opted onto the board to ensure resident representation.
Alison Thain, chief executive of Fabrick, said: “I am thrilled Fabrick has started business. By working together and listening and responding to our residents and staff, we can ensure we excel in everything we do.
“We are ambitious and our vision aims to pioneer new ways to enhance our current services, deliver homes and create sustainable communities to benefit residents and their wider communities.”
Under the group structure, Erimus Housing, which owns about 11,000 homes and Tees Valley Housing Group, which owns more than 4,000 properties, are still separate organisations with their own housing stock.
But the new structure means the organisations can now bring together their expertise and share resources and costs.
Alison added: “I look forward to working with committed staff, residents and partners to ensure we are the key player in housing and regeneration in the North.”
