THE Hutchinson Group of Companies was founded by Bruce Hutchinson in October 2000.

The concept of the group is to provide a high service level and commitment to quality providing complementary services to assist businesses across the globe involved in the logistics of liquid, gas, powder and granular products.

Hutchinson Transport Ltd was initiated to provide both classified and non-classified bulk chemical transportation and temporary chemical storage solutions; and its sister company, Hutchinson Technical Services, was initiated to supply tank maintenance, repair and re-manufacturing. With stocks in excess of 90 tank containers the options are available for sale or hire of second hand units or sale of re-manufactured units.

The Teesside depot, at Dockside Road, Middlesbrough, has 21,000 square feet of workshop space and substantial yard area has allowed for a secure facility to store equipment and an ideal link to Teesport and the rail terminals. Currently the Hutchinson group of companies can offer the facility of empty lifts and storage of 20, 30 and 40 foot containers, with the possibility of loaded lifts in the near future.

The Hutchinson Group of companies has never lost focus on its customer base, and although the customer portfolio has developed substantially over the past seven years of trading the group has never forgotten its roots and continues to develop innovative ideas to improve the performance provided to customers, new and old.

Hutchinson Technical services is licensed and approved to remanufacture ISO Tank Containers to full ADR / IMO requirements, with exclusive UK rights to the particular frame design. Hutchinson Technical Service’s is the first, fully independent, third party remanufacturing facility in Europe.

As a combined force the group can offer a complete solution to transportation, maintenance and handling. Equipment can be transported and located for major or minor repairs and testing.

The latest addition to the group is Power Lift Material Handling Ltd which with the expert knowledge of technical director Peter Jones, who has a proven and excellent reputation in material handling equipment of all types from 1T pallet barrows to 50T loaded container handlers.

Power Lift Material Handling supplies, leases, repairs, service maintenance contracts and refurbishment of ALL equipment types. This business has and continues to surpass all planned growth targets month on month since its formation November 2005.

The team of industry professionals offer a tangible service, complimented with impartial advice and guidance on specialist equipment and logistics solutions. This advice and guidance has had a positive effect on the growth and development of the group, winning confidence and respect from within the industry.

With proven ability to diversify and the expertise of the team; the level and intensity of projects is constantly increasing.
