The company was formed in 1981 and has occupied its present, ideally located, site since 1982.

The main part of the NT Whitfield business is the UK container transport of exports and imports together with general haulage by curtain sided vehicles and warehousing.

The company boasts an impressive fleet of vehicles which comprises 30 Volvo tractor units. Trailers are a mixture of sliders, skeletals, and curtain sided trailers and all vehicles are maintained in NT Whitfield’s own comprehensive workshops.

The firm also has on site refuelling and washing facilities together with a loyal and well trained workforce.

The silver and maroon units of NT Whitfield all have a distinctive, hand painted livery to produce a very professional image. Loaded and m/t containers are stored on site for several shipping lines and there is
approximately space for 400 teu’s available.

The secure site of the company also boasts a state of the art CCTV system that is operational 24 hours a day.

Heavy lifting equipment up to 32 tonnes and material handling facilities are also available.

The site also has 20,000 sq ft of warehousing available for the total solution of customers goods.

Quality is a watchword at NT Whitfield.The firm was awarded BS 5750 in 1986 and now operates to BS EN ISO 9002: 1994.Over the years the Quality Management System used in all aspects of the business has
developed to enable the company to achieve the standard BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for Road Transport & Warehousing, Storage & Maintenance of Vehicles & Containers.

This Quality Assurance standard is under constant assessment and is independently assessed by external auditors.

All goods and warehousing are carried and stored according to RHA terms and conditions.
