The company is boosting its record-breaking sales team, with the coming year predicted to be the busiest and most successful in its history.
In addition to 20 new sales executives and more than a dozen new members of the telesales team, BNS is also hiring engineers, network administrators, customer service advisers and credit controllers.
In all around 50 new members of staff are expected to join the team at Telecom House in Princess Way, Low Prudhoe this year, taking the total workforce to nearly 300, the biggest in BNS’ 10-year history.
BNS is a major player in the UK telecoms market offering a comprehensive range of telecommunication products and services. The company is listed on the London Aim Stock Market and has just marked its 10th year of consistent growth.
To help its growing workforce get to and from its Telecom House, BNS recently invested in an eye-catching 16-seater Renault minibus – fully kitted out in BNS’ brand new livery – to pick up staff in Whitley Bay, Wallsend and Jesmond.
The colourful new graphics – complete with a contact number and the BNS web address – are already helping to raise the company’s profile and generate inquiries about vacancies.
And the rewards are there for staff who go the extra mile – the top salesman for August, September and October was rewarded with a brand new Mini.
CEO Garry Moat says: “The telecoms marketplace is going through one of the most dramatic changes in it’s history.
“BNS used to be a reseller of other people’s products, we are now an IP carrier with industry-first products and, as this industry changes beyond all comprehension we intend to become a major national IP carrier in a marketplace that has just begun.
“This is the start of the marketplace and we estimate we are 3-4 years ahead of our competitors due to the huge investment we have made over the last three years.
“Within any new marketplace which has seen dramatic change there will be winners and losers.
“We have positioned ourselves as the current market leader in IP Telephony.”
