ENGINEERING company Deritend and caterer On a Roll are the latest occupiers to have taken space at the Easter Park development on Riverside Park in Middlesbrough. They have taken 7,500sqft and 6,000sqft respectively.
The deals follow recent sales to R and H Properties trading as Full Spec Shop fitting and the Original Produce Company. The latest sale and letting means that only two units out of the 65,000sqft accommodation remain since its official launch in November 2007.
Developer Easter Group’s site on Barton Road, Middlesbrough, is now offering a further unit and the firm said that strong interest is being expressed in the remaining three buildings on the scheme.
Sanderson Weatherall and Gavin Black & Partners are joint agents on the park. Jonathan Simpson, at Sanderson Weatherall’s Teesside offices, said: “Interest in the scheme has been excellent and we are delighted to be pushing towards the home straight in terms of the marketing. We hope to be in a position to announce the last couple of occupiers shortly. The values that we have been achieving emphasise the ongoing confidence that we are seeing in the local market. Interest in the remaining units is strong and we hope to be able to provide further occupier details in due course. Easter Park has an enviable location close to both the A19 and A66 and offers flexible, high quality space to owner occupiers.”
Russell Taylor, director of Easter’s North East office, is also delighted with the scheme’s progress. He said: “This is the first new good quality industrial scheme that has been built in Middlesbrough for some years. This fact, combined with our ability to sell buildings as well as lease them to occupiers, has meant that we have provided a product that is not available elsewhere in the area.”
Easter Group worked closely with Middlesbrough Borough Council on the development of the scheme, receiving grant assistance from One NorthEast. The remaining two units available range from 6,000sqft with prices starting at £360,000 and rentals at £27,000 per annum.
