Two office buildings have been snapped up at a new £4m development in Stockton.
Barnard Castle-based Rokeby Developments has announced the sale of two office buildings before construction commences at Bowesfield.
Stockton-based law firm, Archers Law, has bought Unit 2.
Winder House Developments, a joint venture company set up by three private investors, has bought Unit 1.
Archers Law will relocate from its present premises on Yarm Road after more than 40 years, into 12,270 sq ft of high quality office accommodation.
This move will allow Archers Law to continue the strategic and ongoing development of the practice.
Archers has used the benefit of a Self Invested Personal Pension - SIPP - to buy the building.
Chief executive David Collier believes moving into the new premises will be a more accurate reflection of the size and stature of the business, which the present premises fail to do.
He said: "All of the members of Archers Law have contributed funds to the SIPP to purchase our new offices. I believe this shows their positive commitment to the future growth of the firm.
"Rokeby Development's pragmatic approach to the deal has been instrumental in achieving our common objectives and overcoming problems that were encountered in what proved to be a somewhat more complex than normal purchase, particularly as we were up against legislative changes and tight deadlines due to the SIPP process."
Rokeby Developments submitted a successful planning application in April, 2005, for the two office buildings on the Bowesfield site on land it acquired in October last year.
The site, close to the river Tees, will also benefit from ongoing mixed use development in the future.
Nick Fordy of Rokeby Development's said: "This was a complex deal that has taken some time to come together, but Rokeby is delighted with the end result and the fact that both units have been sold prior to construction work commencing shows a mutual trust between the end users and ourselves.
"Commercial property is still seen as a good investment and in the Tees Valley area indications are that demand is still strong."
Once completed, Winder House Developments will seek to let the 6,100sq ft, three storey office.
Miller Construction has been appointed as contractor to the scheme.
