ONE of the region’s largest independent firms of chartered surveyors has moved to new central Newcastle offices to accommodate its growing team.
Naylors Chartered Surveyors had outgrown its two existing office bases in Grey Street and Team Valley, and so opted to bring the whole firm together in one location at Hadrian House, Higham Place, Newcastle.
The firm has spent £150,000 on the move and is now housed in 3,800sq ft of space, more than 50% more than the 2,500sq ft at its two former sites.
Staff numbers have grown in the last 12 months from 15 to 20 and managing director Bill Naylor has plans to expand into new areas.
The firm’s plans for the future include the continued growth of the management service, development of a new building surveying department and an expansion into property related consultancy.
Naylors has recently hired four new staff – chartered surveyor Alastair McGillivray who will assist Fergus Laird in the office agency department; Nickie Walton as tenant liaison officer in the management department; Karla Sweeney-Pate as office manager and Natalie McNair as receptionist and sales adviser.
Mr Naylor said: “The past year has been yet another exceptionally good one for the company. We have expanded considerably through internal development and organic growth and increased the number of staff on our team to help us manage the ever expanding workload. We needed to move to bigger premises in order to drive the business forward and maintain our high levels of customer service.”
The new Naylors headquarters have been refurbished by landlord UK Land Estates with rent of £16 per sq ft being charged. The interior of the office suite has been designed by Ward Robinson.
