THE North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership is running two Meadow Management Workshops in early March.
The workshops, run through the Partnership’s Hay Time project, are aimed at new, small-scale farmers who want to find out how to manage their meadows.
The first workshop will be held in the Masonic Hall, Middleton-in-Teesdale, on Monday March 10 at 6.30pm.
A second workshop will be held in Allendale Village Hall, Allendale, on Wednesday March 12 at 10am. They are free and tea/coffee will be provided. There is no need to book.
Hay Time project officer John O'Reilly said: “Many flower-rich meadows in the North Pennines are owned by people who are relatively new to farming.
“We are keen to support them and, in particular, to identify any particular difficulties they may be having in managing their meadows that we could help with.”
