NORTH EAST sheep farmers can get advice on avoiding lameness and controlling worms at a workshop in Northumberland tomorrow night.
The event, organised by the English Beef and Lamb Executive in conjunc- tion with One NorthEast, will focus on careful management of foot rot and worm control which are vital in reducing financial losses for farmers.
Farm vet Debby Brown will give a factual presentation looking at control and prevention of both issues, followed by practical workshops.
And Steve Powdrill, Eblex regional manager, will present the new ‘Virtual Lamb’, a unique demonstration that enables farmers to see the appearance of different fat and conformation levels.
The free event is at the Percy Arms Hotel, Otterburn, Northumberland, tomorrow starting at 7.30pm.
To reserve your place please contact Hellen or Sandra on (0870) 609-1840 or email: brpevents@eblex.org.uk.
The event is only open to producers with a North East holding number.
