Heifer is champion of British Blue show

THE British Blue Cattle Show and Sale took place at Carlisle Mart on Monday.

A great show of cattle were presented in front of the judge – Great Orton butcher Jimmy Mullholland.

The main prize winners were as follows:

Champion: W T McMiken, Nether Ernambrie (heifer), 547kg, 177.5p, £970.93 purchased by Mike Atkinson.

Reserve Champion – M & J Cowen, East Curthwaite Farm (heifer), 661kg, 174.5p £1,153 purchased by Charles Kirkaptrick.
