Make good use of manure

Tyne tees Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group is next week staging a farm walk looking at practical ways of complying with NVZ legislation and making the best use of manure.

Following on from the successful NVZ workshops held in December, the farm walk is being held on Friday, January 30 at 11am by permission of Lord Barnard and David Maughan at West Farm, Morton Tinmouth, Bolam, Darlington. The day includes a practical demonstration of on-farm slurry and manure testing kits by Geoffrey Wox of David Wox contractors and farmers.

There will also be a machinery spreading demonstration, weather permitting, on umbilical cord, injection and dribble bar methods by contractor David Adamson.
