THE Chartered Institute of Public Relations North East has appointed SALLY KEITH as chairwoman. She takes up the voluntary role after four years as a CIPR Committee member, the latter two years as secretary.
Sally has more than two decades of PR and marketing experience working in house and as a consultant to create and implement communications strategies, both in the UK and overseas.
She said: "These are challenging times and it is important that PR professionals demonstrate to employers and clients the value and effectiveness of all aspects of PR at both a strategic and operational level.
"PR is more far reaching than simply media relations, encompassing other key aspects such as the online world, internal communications, crisis management, public affairs and event management and can offer a valuable solution to achieving a business’s objectives."
