Appointments made at Playhouse Whitley Bay

AHEAD of its re-opening in September - following an £8m redevelopment - the Playhouse Whitley Bay has made three new appointments.

SMG Europe, which owns the venue, has added Ailsa Oliver, Jacqueline Di Duca and Nichola McKenna to its team to run the theatre.

Ms Oliver will take over the day-to-day management of the playhouse as theatre director, Ms Oliver becomes box office manager while Ms McKenna has been appointed marketing executive.

The transformation of the venue, situated on Marine Avenue, is a key part of NorthTyneside Council's £64m regeneration programme for Whitley Bay.
