Green work brings Jeff top award

A MEMBER of North-east development specialist GVA Grimley has been awarded the highest level profession qualification for environmental practitioners.

Jeff Roberts, pictured, head of environmental services for GVA in the north, was made a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) after demonstrating the utmost commitment to sustainable environmental management and development.

The firm said it strengthened GVA Grimley's commitment to green issues, and benefitted the firm’s clients through its knowledge and experience.

Jeff Roberts heads a ‘green team’ at GVA Grimley which brings together the company’s environmental expertise in development, valuation, due diligence, brownfield sites and risk assessment.

Jeff has a strong track record in environmental risk assessment, due diligence and liability assessment and first-hand experience of all facets of contaminated land and flood risk assessments.

The growing impact of the environment on commercial property management, development and investment led to the establishment of a specialist team at GVA Grimley.

Mr Roberts said: “The Chartered Environmentalist qualification demonstrates how important we feel green issues are in the property sector. The environmental team works closely with our valuation, development consultancy and agency teams to offer commercially aware, up-to-date advice. The CEnv underlines the expertise available at GVA Grimley.”
