Hairdressers reach awards final

TWO hairdressers in the region have been recognised as being top of the chops in their profession in a national award.

Nicola Slade and Angela Yoeman, both staff at Daccs Hair & Beauty Salon in Washington, reached the UK final of the Wella Professionals Trend Vision Award 09, both in the colour category.

Ms Yoeman said: "I’m so proud to have reached the final of such a prestigious competition.  I’ve always had a huge passion for hair and I am delighted to be taking part and competing against the best hairdressers in the country.”
